Becoming a Cup, Becoming a Body
led by dancer Jongdal, participants explore contact improvisation as a way to negotiate the relationship between Misty Choi’s cups and their own bodies.
Through movement, participants investigate how Choi’s cups —objects that “break, reconnect, adapt, and find their place”—can be engaged with physically. The workshop invites participants to encounter the (in)stability that emerges when one’s center meets another’s, cultivating a flexible body and mind that can embrace mistakes, misalignments, and unexpected connections.
